Terms of Service
Last updated August 5, 2026
1. What SeatSwiper does
SeatSwiper helps you book restaurant reservations on Resy, SevenRooms, and OpenTable by racing the moment a venue releases its tables (the “drop”) or watching for a cancellation. You connect your own account on the platforms you want to use (for SevenRooms, you save guest-checkout details), configure a booking, and a background worker attempts to secure a matching reservation the instant it becomes available. SeatSwiper acts on your behalf using your own platform credentials; it is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Resy, SevenRooms, or OpenTable.
2. Eligibility & your accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract and use reservation-platform accounts (Resy, SevenRooms, OpenTable) you are entitled to use. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must comply with each platform’s own terms; if those terms prohibit automated booking on your account, that is between you and that platform, and you use SeatSwiper at your own risk.
2a. Third-party platform risk
2b. AI assistants (beta)
You can connect AI assistants (for example Claude or ChatGPT) to SeatSwiper through our authorized connector (MCP). An assistant you connect can check availability and create, arm, or cancel bookings on your SeatSwiper account, subject to the same fees, card requirements, and confirmations as the web app. Anything an authorized assistant does on your account is treated as done by you, including the bookings it makes and the fees they incur. You can revoke an assistant’s access at any time from the dashboard. Automated access through your own authorized connector is permitted use; all other automated access to SeatSwiper remains prohibited under Section 6.
3. Service fees
SeatSwiper offers two booking types, with different fees. All fees are charged automatically and off-session against the card you saved with our payment processor (Stripe). They are for SeatSwiper’s service and are separate from any charge the restaurant or the reservation platform (Resy, SevenRooms, or OpenTable) may apply to the reservation itself.
Drop race. For a reservation date that hasn’t been released yet, SeatSwiper charges a service fee of $5 (USD) only when a reservation is successfully booked for you. We do not charge this fee for attempts that do not result in a booked reservation.
Cancellation watch. For a reservation date that is already open but full, SeatSwiper watches for a cancellation. This carries a $1 (USD) activation fee, charged when the watch begins — this fee applies even if no table ever opens up, and is non-refundable — plus the $5 (USD) service fee if and when a table is successfully booked for you.
Launch promotion — first booking free. Your first successful booking is free; the $5 booking fee applies to each successful booking after your first. (The $1 cancellation-watch activation fee is not covered by this promotion.) We may change or end this promotion at any time, but a booking that was already free will not be charged retroactively.
3a. Ambassador program
Users may apply to become a SeatSwiper ambassador. Approval is at SeatSwiper’s sole discretion. An approved ambassador earns a $2 (USD) commission for each booking made by a user who signed up through the ambassador’s personal referral link, for 6 months from that referred user’s signup — and only where SeatSwiper actually collects its $5 booking fee for that booking (bookings whose fee is waived, declined, or refunded earn no commission). While you are an approved ambassador, new sign-ups through your link earn these cash commissions instead of the free-booking referral credits described above.
Payouts. Commissions are paid by bank transfer through our payment processor (Stripe). Receiving payouts requires completing Stripe’s onboarding — including identity verification — and is subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Accrued balances are paid roughly monthly once they reach $10 (USD); smaller balances roll forward. You are responsible for any taxes on amounts you earn (Stripe issues tax forms such as a 1099 where required). SeatSwiper may pause, modify, or end the program — or an individual’s participation — at any time; commissions already earned under these terms remain payable.
4. No refunds
5. No guarantee
Reservations are scarce and demand is unpredictable. SeatSwiper does not guarantee that any reservation will be obtained, at any particular venue, date, time, or party size. Many factors outside our control — platform availability and rate limits, network conditions, the venue’s release behavior, and competing demand — affect the outcome. The service is provided on a reasonable-effort basis only.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use SeatSwiper for any unlawful purpose; resell, scalp, or commercially exploit reservations in violation of a venue’s or a reservation platform’s rules; interfere with or overload the service or the reservation platforms; attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; access the service by automated means except through your own authorized connector (Section 2b); or circumvent the security, rate-limiting, or access controls of SeatSwiper or any third party. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these terms or harms the service.
7. Warranty disclaimer
SeatSwiper is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will obtain any reservation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SeatSwiper and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost reservations, lost opportunities, or lost profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount of service fees you paid to us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using SeatSwiper at any time and may delete your account and the data we hold from within the app (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, the no-refund policy, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of SeatSwiper after a change means you accept the updated terms.
